Working with me
Freelance SEO consultant, UK
The person who audits your site is the person you spoke to, and the person who writes the roadmap. There is nobody else here to hand it to.

The difference
It is a structural difference, not a better-worse one
An agency and a freelance consultant are built to do different things. Most disappointment comes from buying one while needing the other.
An agency
- A team, so several workstreams move at once
- Cover when someone is away
- The person who sold it is rarely the person doing it
- Seniority is shared across many accounts
A freelance consultant
- One workstream, but every hour of it is senior
- No handovers, so nothing gets lost in translation
- You speak to the person doing the work
- Fewer clients, so more context on yours
Honestly
When you should hire an agency instead
This is not false modesty. If your situation is on the right, a freelance consultant is the wrong purchase and you will be frustrated within a month.
Work with me
- You need judgement more than hands
- You have a team that can implement, or a developer who can
- You want to know why, not just what
- The problem is specific and diagnosis comes first
Hire an agency
- You need content produced at volume, every month
- You need SEO, paid, social and creative under one contract
- You need someone available whatever week it is
- You have nobody internally to act on recommendations
What that looks like
Nine ways to work together
What is blocking visibility, and the order in which to fix it.
Category and product architecture, for stores with real catalogues.
Visibility in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Overviews.
The DIVA framework, for people whose name is the business.
When SEO is one channel and the question is where the next pound goes.
Migrations, architecture, structured data, indexation, recovery.
Questions
What people ask first
What happens if you are unavailable?
One consultant means one calendar. I say so before we start, and scope the work around it rather than promising cover I do not have. If you need guaranteed availability every week, an agency is the honest answer.
Do you work with agencies as well as brands?
Yes. Technical SEO Consulting is available as specialist support for in-house teams and agencies, as one-off projects or ongoing.
Do you implement, or only advise?
Both, depending on the engagement. The audit produces direction; implementation and specialist work sit under Technical SEO Consulting. Where your team wants to run it themselves, that is Training and Playbooks.
Which markets do you work in?
UK and European markets, with 14 years of hands-on ecommerce work across them.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the work, not on a rate card. What stays constant: you get the fee and the timeline in writing before the work starts, and the person quoting is the person doing it.
Start with a conversation
A diagnosis, not a pitch. If what you need is not something I do, I will tell you who does.
